Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Chorify. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Chorify mobile application ("App"), website at chorifyapp.com ("Website"), and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Chorify ("we," "us," or "our").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly.
If you are between 13 and 18 years of age, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
3. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must create an account using a valid email address and password. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately at admin@chorifyapp.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account
You may not create multiple accounts for the purpose of circumventing subscription limits or other restrictions.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
Chorify offers subscription plans that unlock the ability to create households. Household members can use the App for free — only household creators need an active subscription.
4.1 Subscription Tiers
We offer the following tiers, each allowing a different maximum number of households: Starter (1), Family (3), Extended (7), and Unlimited. Current pricing is displayed in the App and on our Website.
4.2 Billing
Subscriptions are billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan you choose. All payments are processed by Apple or Google — we do not directly collect or store payment card information.
4.3 Free Trial
Annual plans include a one-week free trial. The trial is limited to one per Apple ID or Google account. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan.
4.4 Cancellation and Renewal
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's settings:
- iOS: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
- Android: Google Play Store > Subscriptions
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to your subscription tier until that date. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
4.5 Price Changes
We may adjust subscription pricing from time to time. Any price changes will be communicated in advance and will take effect at the start of the next billing period after notice is given.
5. User Conduct
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Post or share content that is illegal, abusive, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
- Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Upload viruses, malware, or any other harmful code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or to our systems
- Use the Service for any commercial purpose not expressly permitted by us
- Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security features of the Service
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our sole discretion.
6. User Content
You may post content through the Service, including activity feed posts, comments, and photo proof of chore completions ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have all necessary rights to post it. We do not endorse any User Content and are not liable for content posted by users.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are owned by Chorify and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. You use the Service at your own risk.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Chorify and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months prior to the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty dollars ($50), whichever is greater.
10. Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from within the App. When you delete your account:
- Your profile information will be permanently removed
- You will be removed from all households
- Your posts and comments will be deleted
- Your achievement and completion history will be anonymized (removed from your identity but retained for household history)
- Any active subscription will remain until the end of the current billing period, but will not renew
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you wish to use Chorify again, you will need to create a new account.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law) will survive.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and, where appropriate, providing notice through the App. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
